This graceful all-white planter is sculpturally embossed with the daisies found on all Belleek Daisy ware. Glazed milky-white inside and out, the 7-1/2-inch planter beautifully shows off a potted orchid, fern, or other indoor plant. Delicate green shamrocks are hand-painted around the outside for an Irish touch. In fact, the planter is made in Ireland of fine parian china, and complements a range of items found in the Daisy collection, including vases, a pitcher and a cookie jar, all of which make appealing gifts.

Parian, invented in Great Britain in the 1840s for sculpting classical figurines, was particularly popular in Victorian times. Because of the china's marble-like translucence, the name derived from the Greek island of Paros, famous for its prized white marble.
